Waltham Windmill and Cleethorpes by the Sea
Bank Holiday Monday 30th August
We travel to the village of Waltham this morning where from 1666, to the present day there has always been a mill and the present one, which was built in 1878, is fully restored as a Six Sail, six storied working windmills. Also nearby there is a popular miniature railway, an acclaimed Museum of Rural Life, quaint shops and cafes. We continue to Cleethorpes a traditional seaside resort with miles of sandy beaches, including donkey rides, a paddling pool, a boating lake and a Pier. There are award-winning gardens on the promenade, Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway, Lollipop Road Train, the Jungle Zoo, a wealth of shops, cafés and restaurants serving great fish and chips.
