The splendid gothic castle of Cholmondeley stands dramatically on a hill surrounded by sweeping lawns, magnificent trees in the Autumn shades of red and gold, and beautiful, landscaped gardens. Follow the Nature Trail, an absorbing walk around the deer park and Mere, which has extensive bird and waterfowl population including
freshwater fish. The Tea Rooms offer an assortment of freshly made sandwiches, a wide selection of cakes, traybakes, coffee, teas, and a choice of cold drinks. They also sell a broad selection of gifts.
