THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM AREWAS with lunch at MARSH FARM ABBOTS BROMLEY

This morning, we travel to Marsh Farm located near the picturesque village of Abbots Bromley. The traditional Tea Rooms is the perfect setting for a two-course lunch at 12.00. A two-course menu, choice on booking please with dietary requirements. Mains, Roast Chicken with Sage & Onion Stuffing, Poached Salmon with Parsley Sauce and Vegetable Gratin all served with fresh seasonable vegetables. Sweets, Apple pie, Sherry Trifle, Trio of Ice Cream Tea or Coffee. A selection of Cold Drinks available to purchase. We continue to the National Memorial Arboretum a beautiful and inspiring place, the 150-acres of the Arboretum form a living landscape, a home for more than 400 memorials devoted to the concept of remembrance. We are welcomed at the Remembrance Centre where you can enquire if there were a particular memorial you would like to visit before setting out to explore this memorable place. For a more relaxing way book on The Land Train offering a 50-minute pre-recorded commentary tour of the site, providing an overview of the memorials and their stories. Our visit is just after the Festival of Remembrance Sunday so the many wreaths laid will still be in place. There is a café and restaurant at the Remembrance Centre and a shop selling books, jewellery, clothing, candles, tasty treats and poppy gifts. Find the perfect gift to remember the perfect day.
