Join the guests of Lord and Lady Bearsted and experience the weekend house party of a 1930’s millionaire at Upton House. Surrounded by world renowned art collection and Lord Bearsted’s cherished rare French and English Chelsea porcelain hear about the family life of the Bearsted’s. The stunning gardens returned to their 1930’s heyday, reveal sweeping lawns, a series of terraces and herbaceous borders leading to a kitchen garden, tranquil water gardens and the famous national collection of asters. The Pavilion Café is open for light lunches, cakes, snacks and a range of hot and cold drinks. There is a gift shop with a great range of products and plant sales with separate book shop. We finish the day with a visit to Hatton Garden Centre and Shopping Village.
