THE AUTUMN SPLENDOUR of WESTONBIRT ARBORETUM and TETBURY

We visit the Elizabethan market town of Tetbury
with its fine buildings, cafes and restaurants for
refreshments and toilets. We continue to Westonbirt,
home to 2,500 different species and 5 national tree
collections, the perfect place for you to escape and
take a walk through an incredible landscape of scarlet,
orange and gold this autumn. A must visit is Acer
Glade in the Old Arboretum, Maple Loop in Silk Wood
and the national collection for maples. Take a journey
up into the canopy on the STIHL Tree Top Walkway
or if you venture into the deep dark wood you may
bump into the Gruffalo, the Gruffalo’s child and other
characters from the book by following the Gruffalo
Trail. There is a restaurant, a café for refreshments and
a shop. We check into the Welcome Centre, where you can pick up information about walks and maps. A shuttle
service is available for visitors who need assistance from the Centre to the restaurant, shop and edge of the Old
Arboretum. Wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available from the Welcome Building, but please notify on
booking if required.

FESTIVE SEASON at CHATSWORTH HOUSE, CHRISTMAS MARKET and the GARDEN LIGHT TRAIL

Enjoy a great day at Chatsworth with the house
superbly decorated for Christmas. We begin the
morning with a stroll around the Christmas Market
with log cabins and stalls, crammed with festive
crafts, gifts galore and Christmas foods to eat,
drink and purchase. There are plenty of places to
take refreshments, light bites are available at the
Farmyard Café or a hearty meal at the Cavendish
and Carriage House Restaurant, outside catering
is also available. You can book yourself into the
restaurants beforehand to avoid the queues.
After the timed house tour at 14:15hrs., indulge in
shopping in the courtyard, before strolling around
the gardens following the amazing light trail.
