THE GLOUCESTERSHIRE and WARWICKSHIRE STEAM RAILWAY and CHELTENHAM
Saturday 3rd May
An exciting day for all railway enthusiasts. This morning, we travel through the delightful Cotswolds to the station of Broadway, which has been totally restored to its former glory by volunteers. There is a GWR shop, stocked with gifts, books and railway memorabilia and a café for refreshments with toilets. We board our train travelling through the picturesque Cotswold countryside passing through stations, beautifully restored, decked with flowers and vintage detail to Cheltenham Race Course Station. We disembark and re-join our coach, which will transfer you to the centre of Cheltenham town, a spa resort of handsome, Regency architecture which has broad avenues and fine parks. The promenade has been named as one of the best shopping streets in England with an abundance of shops, cafes and restaurants for refreshments.
