Saturday 16th October THE BEAUTIFUL YORKSHIRE DALES IN AUTUMN

A scenic tour of the North Yorkshire dales in all their Autumn splendour as we travel through the breath-taking scenery of Wensleydale and Swaledale. We call at the Aysgarth Falls National Park Centre to see the famous Middle Falls used in filming the meeting of Robin Hood and Little John. We continue to Hawes a magical little market town is one of England's highest, set 850 feet above sea water and home to the world-famous Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese. We make our lunch break at the  Wensleydale Creamery where you will find a nice Restaurant for an optional lunch or you can visit the Cheese Shop and sample the cheeses or browse the Gift Shop. This afternoon our coach takes on an experience of a lifetime a sensational ride up Butter Tubs Pass descending into and after drive along Swaledale which is stunning and so charming with rolling green hills, drystone walls, and old barns dotted around the countryside.  We reach  the village of Muker one of the cutest places with a tiny  Post Office and a shop with a Swaledale ewe statue on the roof and on to the village of Reeth  an attractive tourist centre with a huge open green that hosts a small but popular market each Friday.  We finally arrive at the town of Richmond a beautiful Yorkshire Dales market town, with a Norman castle, Georgian architecture, a large cobbled marketplace, with the fast-flowing river Swale and magnificent views and scenery.
