BLETCHLEY PARK the HOME of the CODE BREAKERS – CELEBRATING a 1940’s WEEKEND

Saturday 24th September 2022

Come along to Bletchley Park and have a wonderful day as they celebrate the 1940’s. Explore the history of Bletchley Park, which is a world class heritage site telling the incredible story of the World War II Code Breakers and how their dedication cracked the Germans Enigma Code Machine and helped shorten the war by two years. Alan Turing designed a machine called a Bombe judged by many to be the foundation of modern computing and helped bring about the downfall of Enigma. Call in to Hut 4, formerly WW2 Naval intelligence Code Breaking Hut, now a café where you can enjoy freshly cooked hot meals, jacket potatoes, soup, a selection of sandwiches, cakes and hot or cold drinks. There will be live music throughout the day, to dance to if you wish, a collection of vintage vehicles to view, topical re-enactments to enjoy and many stalls selling vintage memorabilia, crafts, jewellery and 1940’s clothes.

To really let you hair down, why not dress up 1940’s style?
