THE HISTORIC MARKET TOWN of KNARESBOROUGH and FISH ‘N’ CHIP TEA

Saturday, 28 April 2018

Knaresborough is full of surprises, a warren of medieval streets and stone staircases that weave their way up and down the hill, with the market place in the centre of the town this is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea or something delicious and home baked. Knaresborough Castle sits above the River Nidd and gorge, in a commanding position with spectacular views. Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well, was once the home of Knaresborough’s mysterious prophetess who died in 1561. An opportunity to visit this pretty riverside location and discover the petrifying well, where numerous artefacts have been turned to stone over the years. This afternoon we call at the Wetherby Whaler Guisley for a high tea of Fish ‘n’ Chips, Peas, Bread and Butter, Dessert, Tea or Co ee.
