AN ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS AT THE HALL AT ABBEY CWM HIR with CHRISTMAS LUNCH
Christmas is a most magical time of year at the hall with all 52 rooms beautifully and lavishly decorated with at least 70 Christmas trees, an amazing spectacle of Victorian extravaganza. Built in 1834 by Thomas Wilson, the house was doubled in size by the Philips family in 1869. Paul and Victoria Humpherston restored the house and gardens over 10 years, their work has been featured on a number of TV documentaries. The house bursts with innovative and creative interior design ideas complimented by thousands of collectable items, all used as furnishings. On arrival, we are warmly welcomed at the Village Hall where we will be served with a wonderful traditional Christmas lunch of roast turkey or pork with all the trimmings, followed by a great selection of desserts including Christmas pudding and tea/co ee. We will be serving a complementary glass of wine for all Sharpes guests (please state on booking if you require red or white wine with lunch). After lunch, there is an extended guided tour of the Hall in all its festive splendour. This is a wonderful day out and an opportunity to explore this stunning building.
