The buffing and polishing is over for another year. Taking place at Peterborough for the third year, the UK Coach Rally brought the industry together for a weekend of driving tests, and trophies involving coaches, midis and, for the first time, buses.
A change in the pecking order saw the Highest Placed Coach Operator in all Classes moved to the top of the awards tree as effective overall rally winner, with Sharpes of Nottingham taking the title and the Alan Goodwin Trophy. Richard Grey of Greys of Ely was Coach Driver of the Year and for the second year running Parry’s International picked up the Coach of the Year award, this time with a Van Hool Astron TX17. Runner up in the Coach Driver of the Year award was Tom Williams, Dews Coaches.
