“LULU” London Transport RT 3902 (LLU 701) - 1950 AEC Regent III / RT Park Royal double deck

New at Croydon garage in 1950, with a Weymann body, RT 3902 spent 21 years operating from South London Garages, gaining its current body on its final overhaul in 1966, and ending its service at neighbouring Thornton Heath Garage.

After subsequent private ownership as a motor caravan, it entered preservation with Mr C Garbutt , and  following an extensive restoration programme RT 3902 (LLU 701) returned to its rightful place on the roads in 2011.

Purchased by Sharpes of Nottingham in September 2013, RT3902 (LLU 701) or now more affectionately named by the Grandchildren as “LULU”, will be available for Vintage Bus Hire in 2014.

On Sharpes of Nottingham’s first outing, we entered her for Judging at “Showbus 2013”. We were particularly proud to receive the accolade of ;

Best London Transport Bus

The award, is a fitting tribute to the craftsmanship, and extensive restoration works carried out in returning her to show room condition.

At Sharpes of Nottingham, we take extreme pride in the appearance of our Vintage Vehicles, their qualities adding to the ambience of your special day.
